All clients share the use of two phones that are provided for their use only. Upon arrival it will be suggested that clients have very limited contact with family and friends for the first two weeks of his stay. This policy is based on the clients need to get grounded in his new environment without distractions, and begin to rely on supportive peers in the community. Family will be contacted upon client’s safe arrival at the facility.
After a client has settled into his new environment phone use is more liberal, however the clinical staff may, from time to time, put certain phone restrictions on a client for therapeutic reasons.
We encourage letter writing by supportive family members and friends.
"I'd been in and out of primary treatment centers and 12-Step groups for 16 years. I couldn't stay sober until I went to Prescott House, followed their suggestions and dealt with my issues.
Today, life is good." — Tom |
